CCDP - Cisco Certified Design Professional

The Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) is a professional level certification concentrating on the design of a network using Cisco equipment. This certification requires three tests (routing, switching, and design) and you must already have a CCNA and a CCDA.

Routing   (one is required)
  • 642-801 - Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks Exam (BSCI)
  • 640-901 - Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks Exam (BSCI) (Obsolete)
Switching   (one is required)
  • 642-811 - Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Exam (BCMSN)
  • 640-604 - Switching Exam (SWTCH) (Obsolete)
Design   (one is required)
  • 642-871 - Designing Cisco Network Service Architectures Exam (ARCH)
  • 640-025 - Cisco Internetwork Design Exam (CID) (Obsolete)
Routing and Switching Composite Alternative   (all are required)
Instead of separate routing and swithing exams, it is possible to earn CCDP by taking a composite exam along with the architecture exam.
  • 642-891 - Composite Exam
  • 642-871 - Designing Cisco Network Service Architectures Exam (ARCH)
Recertification   (all are required)
Every three years a CCDP must recertify by taking one exam.
